Aphmau would 100% leave her diary wide opened in a very visible spot of the house.

I imagine she sometimes leaves it on a page with Laurance or Garroth's name on it and they have to do their best not to snoop because, on one hand, "what does Aphmau think of me? Is it possible she might ever feel the same?" but also "I can't look at Lady Aphmau's journal! I am her guard! She trusts me!!"

Garroth chooses the latter nearly every time (for plot reasons he might not one time, who knows 👻). Maybe, he's trying his best to cope after Lilian did the hologram thingy and then he catches sight of Laurance's name and can't help but run away or something.

Laurance teases her about it at least once but never fully pries (he already understands this love is forever one-sided). He also notes how she's spells his name wrong 66% of the time. Maybe he finds her diary when he's blind and gets sad that he can't tease her about it anymore.

At one point, Zoey finds the page opened to something really depressing about how stressful being a mother and lord is or how she was never meant for a full blown war between kingdoms twice their size, etc etc. And Zoey comforts her about it (after apologizing for reading it, of course, something the other two didn't do).

I just realized. One thing that Optimus will certainly be educated on by the Primes in the Haunted AU is the various was One Can Kill A Quintesson! Leaving some Autobots confused at times when he's teaching them in return because 'This sounds pretty Specific...???'

It's slightly competitive on the Primes' part because yeah, the Deceptions do got the High Guard being good at killing Quintessons too but. They're the Real Experts. (Are they salty? Naaaah they're not. Much. Kinda.)

they got so good at squishing the goddamn bugs and they're thrilled they can save Optimus the pain of figuring out their weak points through trial and error like they did. they're gonna make a pro out of their baby brother in no time.

and if they just so happen to know some of the Decepticons will be majorly pissed off at the fact OP is already on par with the best of what used to be the High Guard when he only has a fraction of their experience... well, happy coincidences, y'know?

and if they happen to teach Optimus how to crack open a Quintesson in just the right way to make some Decepticons see ghosts through him... that's between them and the people they're haunting :)

Wasn't Brian being the spy basically completely glossed over or am I remembering wrong? Is he EVER brought up again? Is it ever clear WHY he was the spy?

I vaguely remember someone saying something about him being an actual different person after going to guard school, like, they straight up replaced real Brian (aka Ryan) with bargain bin Brian (this is how Ive decided to interpret the name changes lol) and I can't remember if that was actual canon or just a theory

i want to see Fox have the most chaotic ass relationship with some feral investigative journalists. and it somehow turns into a fix it fic. like this somehow leads to Palpatine getting taken down. how funny would that be.

like. journalists are fucking insane man (i mean this as a compliment), and insane in a way I think fanon Fox would 100% get along with. Like, what Palpatine didn't realize when creating a clone army to kill the jedi, is those clones might be very enthusiastic whistleblowers.

Fox stresses out the journalists by how much he's willing to divulge despite the potential consequences (or, yk, actual consequences cause it's palps), and the journalists stress out Fox bc they're catching up to Padme in number of assassination attempts. meanwhile--
